2nd Shift Truck Loader

Job Description: Residential and Commercial Truck Loader and Shop Worker.

Duties: To load all deliveries properly and safely according to the load sheets in a timely manner.

Functions:

  • Review load sheets before loading.

  • Locate all miscellaneous orders before the first shift is over to ensure they were placed. If not, let the appropriate person know.

  • Load trucks from load sheets in proper order: first stop to last stop.

  • Double-check paperwork and record that everything was loaded before starting another truck.

  • Start loading the trucks that are here. Do not wait on trucks to come back from deliveries.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Comply with all safety requirements

  • Willingness to work the required schedule (2nd shift)

First Shift Fabricator

Job Overview: Operate as a full-process fabricator for structural steel components on first shift. Hours are 6:00 am- 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle structural steel material in preparation for assembly of main members with accessory parts

  • Read and interpret 2d steel shop drawings

  • Layout structural steel main members using information from 2d shop drawings

  • Fit-up, tack, weld, and bolt accessory material to main members in accordance with shop drawings

  • Check other fabricators’ layout and fit-up of accessory material

  • Prime main members with single coat shop primer when required by shop drawings.

  • Load completed fabricated material to be shipped to jobsite.

Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years demonstrated experience in a structural steel fabrication shop – particularly in reading and interpreting shop drawings

  • Welding certification preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with shop equipment including but not limited to FCAW Welding machines, oxygen-acetylene torch, mag drill, ironworker, press brake, saw, etc.

  • Fit-up, tack, weld, and bolt accessory material to main members in accordance with shop drawings

  • Load completed fabricated material to be shipped to jobsite.
